Here at Bloom Health Clinic, we hold in mind that making the decision to prioritise yourself and seek support is a big step in your healing journey. We also understand that there are often many barriers to taking this step and aim to minimise these barriers where we can. For this reason Bloom Health Clinic is very considered in the setting of our fees and strive to ensure that finances do not act as a barrier to someone accessing help and support when needed.
Below you will find the standard fee for each service, as well as other important billing information and rebate schemes.
* The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends $300 per 50 minute session. Our fees are substantially lower than this.
Please note scheduled fee increases occur in January of each year and are aligned with increased operational costs and ongoing clinical excellence support

We offer sessions outside standard office hours to assist clients to attend amidst other commitments.
Please be aware however these sessions do incur an ‘out of hours’ surcharge of $20, which is applied in addition to standard session rates. The surcharge applies to appointments booked before 8:30am and after 5pm on weekdays, and all weekend appointments.
Please note, that this service is not offered by all of our Bloom Health Clinic practitioners. Those that do choose to offer sessions outside standard office hours do so out of a genuine desire to accommodate you.

Our trained clinicians can provide individualised, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatment to assist in understanding a wide range of behavioural, academic and emotional challenges. After testing, clients receive comprehensive assessment reports along with personalised recommendations. These reports, in combination with other assessments, can assist in the process of applying for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Supporting letters and reports are considered on a case-by-case basis and are charged at a pro-rater rate of the standard consultation fee + GST, at a minimum of 20 minutes.
Please discuss your letter/report/form requirements and associated fee with the clinic. Please be aware that reports/letters/forms that require time outside of your consultation generally will not be able to written that same day and may take up to 1-2 weeks to complete depending on the nature of your request, so please ensure that you allow enough notice provided to your Psychologist for your request.
You will be quoted with an estimated duration it’ll take to complete the document and a final cost will be provided upon completion. Full payment is required before we are able to release the document to you.
* Documentations/consultations that take less than 15 mins as determined by the clinician (often completed in session) may be free of charge.

We often receive requests to consult with third-parties such as caregivers, schools (eg: guidance officer), support workers or other professionals involved in a clients treatment. These consultations are referred to as a ‘Case Conference’ and are charged at a pro-rata rate of the standard consultation fee + GST, at a minimum of 10 minutes.
You will be asked to provide consent to give authority for your practitioner to consult with the requested third party, and accept the associated charges for your psychologist’s time. You will be given the opportunity to discuss the details of the case conference, and it's expected duration, before giving approval.

Please be aware that when making an initial booking at Bloom Health Clinic we will require a card to be kept on file and a deposit to hold your initial session booking.
$125 deposit for individual sessions
$150 for couples consults
Your deposit is refundable should you choose to not proceed with your session, as long as the cancellation is received outside the 48 hour cancellation window.
If you cancel within 48 hours your deposit will be forfeited. If you do not arrive to your initial session booking your deposit will be forfeited and the remainder of the session fee will be deducted from the card we have on file for you as per our cancelation policy.
Rebates
We offer services under Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP) for up to 10 rebateable sessions per calendar year; Eating Disorder Treatment Plans (EDP) for up to 40 rebateable sessions per calendar year and Chronic Disease Management (CDMP)Plans for up to 5 rebateable sessions per calendar year.
** Please Note: Couples Counselling is not eligible for Medicare rebates.

Medicare does not provide a Medicare Rebate for ‘Relationship Counselling/Couples Therapy/Family Therapy’ under the MHCP as the Medicare rebates are for treatment of mental health issues. If you require couples counselling or family therapy the fee is payable in full by the client. If you have private health cover, you may receive a rebate from your Private Health Care Fund.

We are registered with private health insurance providers in Australia.
If you have private health insurance you may be eligible to claim rebates. You can claim directly with your insurer after your session.
Please be aware you cannot use your private health insurance if you are already accessing Medicare rebates for your session.

For services funded by a third party our payments terms are a strict 7-day term (unless prior arrangements have been made with Practice Manager). Full payment must be made within 7 days of invoice date or a late payment fee of $30.00 (inc. GST) will apply.
Billing

Payment by debit or credit card is required at the time of each session. Prior to commencing your first session at Bloom, your card details will be collected and stored securely via Stripe. These details will be used for efficient and secure processing at conclusion of each session.
Your card details will be encrypted and will not be stored anywhere other than Stripe.
Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider – Level 1, which is the highest level of certification available as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. You can read more about Stripe's security here: https://stripe.com/docs/security

If your selected Credit/Debit Card fails to process on the day of your appointment you will be notified via SMS, and a second attempt for payment will be made the following business day. If payment is declined a second time you will be notified via SMS, and an invoice will be sent to your nominated e-mail account.
You will have 5 full business days after the date of your appointment to deposit these funds (till 5pm of that due date).
Payments left unpaid a week after the date of your consultation are considered overdue and will incur a $22.00 (inc. GST) administration fee in addition to the cost of the overdue payment.
Please note, for clients who consistently pay invoices late, payment will be required in advance of future appointments.

Bloom Health Clinic will be in contact at several points via phone and email to follow up on overdue payments. If we are unable to contact you during the above 7 day period, and have not had any communication from you to acknowledge the overdue account, we will unfortunately need to cancel your next booked appointment with us. If your account continues to be overdue we may restrict your future services as well.
This will result in:
additional administration fees being charged ($30.00 inc. GST)
potential termination of services in which case you will need to re-contact the clinic should you wish to make future appointments.
potential referral to debt collection agency, which will incur an additional 18% +GST in addition to the cost of the overdue payment.
As with our cancelation policy, we do understand that sometimes the unexpected happens and your payment may be late. If this occurs, please contact the clinic as soon as possible to discuss your situation. We will always do our best to work through the circumstances with you.
